奧地利史泰利亞邦文化廳薦送藝術家丹妮拉˙古德曼第一次
來到台灣，適逢園區館室地震災後修復時期，丹妮拉轉而著
手於蕭壠多元的戶外景觀進行創作。
「脆弱」是丹妮拉的創作核心，
透過細微的觀察，丹妮拉發現正在盛開結果的酪梨區有2棵
生病的酪梨，既不開花也不結果，僅剩枯枝。
藝術家利用殘破的瓷器，以鐵絲緊緊纏繞，
綁在生病的樹枝上，象徵生命的脆弱與死亡。
同時於枯枝旁種下松、竹等植栽，
代表生命的另一面─韌性與毅力。
藝術家訪問了佳里在地不同年齡層的居民，
探討生命的意義與自由、脆弱與死亡等主題，
這些訪談亦會呈現於酪梨區展示。
身為專業的肢體表演家，丹妮拉將於酪梨藝術裝置區進行表演，歡迎各位民眾前往欣賞。

Daniela Gutmann - being fragile and/or free
Resident Art Installation & Performance
Before Daniela arrived in Soulangh Cultural Park she received
the information, that there will be an earthquake renovation
project.She wanted to come to this place without any ideas about
what she will start, but the „never stopping thinking head“ put this
relevant information into an abstract notion.
After the first two weeks absorbing the new environment, she had
a punch of subjects which she would like to deal with.
Soon it was clear, that for this residency her main topic will be the
fragility. She used things from the immediate environment and
involved the natives in Jiali via interviewing them on specific
issues. Something useless put in a new frame and used as a
conceptual demonstration material for inner questions and process.
The artistic work of being engaged in issues like fragility and
mortality as well as contrast these with the meaning of life and
freedom are installed as an outdoor installation at the Avocado
Platform. With a performance, diverse levels of states - being
fragile and/or free - are demonstrated.
Daniela Gutmann
was born in Styria (Austria).
She is a ceramicist, dancer/performer, conceptual artist and an expression dance/movement teacher.
After a study at the University of Natural Ressources and Life Sciences in Vienna, she studied Ceramics at the Masterschool for Art and Design in Graz.
She had several collaborations with different local artists and musicians, whereof projects and exhibitions occured. Fascinated from the expression through movement she attented different courses and researches at home and abroad. She is a certified expression dance teacher and held movement workshops with various topics in Austria. In her work she often uses the material clay and her own body. In the last years she got more and more into performance art, which she uses as an immediate way to communicate with the audience. Her recent artistic practice focuses on dealing with space, time, movement research, environmental issues / circumstances and philosophical questions.
