這個展覽是關於臺南佳里區三年一度的廟宇節慶「蕭壠香科」，此慶典最著名的是由108位幼童所組成長達201.8 公尺遶境四天的蜈蚣陣，此節慶同時包含燒王船的儀式，將下凡驅逐瘟疫的千歲爺送回天庭繳旨給玉皇大帝，以祈求合境平安、風調雨順。
凱文．雷恩是英國攝影師，及英國與國際著名文化推動者。他是英國《Mailout雜誌》的偕同創辦人與總監，同時是英國查恩伍德藝術機構總監，並在過去三十多年專業地執行跨藝術形式的參與式藝術計畫。

This exhibition focuses on a triennial, area based temple festival in the Jai Li District of Tainan County whose most notable feature is a 201.8 metre long centipede ridden by 108 children for four full days. The festival also features a boat burning ritual to return the inspecting emissaries (Epidemic Royal Lords) back to report their findings to the Jade Emperor.
Kevin Ryan is a British photographer and cultural animateur working in the UK and internationally. A co-founder and director of Mailout Magazine, Kevin has been professionally active in the world of multi-artform participatory arts practice for over 30 years and is director of Charnwood Arts in the UK.
